Two persons were killed in what the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) called a gunfight in Panerchhora of Cox’s Bazar’s Ramu on Tuesday morning, Agencies report.

The deceased were Mirza Mohammad Nizam Uddin, 30, and Ratan Rudra, 25, from Lohagara upazila of Chattogram district.

Being informed about a gunfight, a team of police went to the spot around 7:30am and recovered the duo with bullet injuries, said Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Ramu police station.

Later, they were rushed to Sadar Hospital where the on-duty physicians declared them dead. The law enforcers also recovered 450,000 pieces yaba tablets and four pistols, the OC said.
