RIYADH: As many as 21,844 Saudi men and women have been trained to work in the mobile phone maintenance sector, according to the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC). Most of these trainees are from Riyadh, Makkah and the Eastern Province, said a recent statement.
According to TVTC, of the 25,117 young Saudis who underwent training, 21,844 meet the requirements and have been qualified to work in the field in the first phase of the training programs. This is in line with the Ministry of Labor’s decision to nationalize 50 percent of the sector at the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
The organization, in cooperation with major manufacturers of smartphones, conducted the training in all regions of the Kingdom at 100 colleges and technical institutes, the TVTC said.
According to the monitoring team report, the basic maintenance of the mobile program was very popular in all regions of the Kingdom, in addition to the customer service program and sales service training programs, which had about 7,171 and 594 graduates, respectively, arabnews reports.
