Malaysian police have detained 27 Bangladeshi ‘illegal immigrants’, who reportedly paid around Tk 300,000 (RM15,000) each for jobs in the Southeast Asian country, on charge of intrusion, agencies report. A report on Malaysia’s The Star Online – http://www.thestar.com.my – said on Thursday the men were jobless and had been getting only a daily meal of water and ‘roti canai’ and a cold hard floor to sleep on for over a month.
