Three workers died after they fell off from an under-construction building in Dhanmondi on Friday afternoon, UNB reports.
Two of the deceased were identified as Monirul, 40 and Mukhles, 30, while another could not be identified immediately, said Sub-inspector Bachchu Mia, in charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost.
The incident occurred when the victims were working on a hanging platform on a 13-storey building, said Jamal Hossain, supervisor of the building.
Unfortunately, they fell as the platform broke down around 4:30 pm and sustained critical injuries, he added.
At first, they were taken to Central Hospital from where two of them were referred to the emergency department of DMCH where the duty doctor declared Monirul and Mukhles dead.
Earlier, another died while undergoing treatment at Central Hospital, he added.
