4 killed in Cox’s Bazar road crash

Four persons were killed as a passenger bus collided with two Noah microbuses at Chakaria upazila on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar Highway yesterday on Saturday, Agencies report.

The deceased were identified as Shahidul Karim, 35, the bus driver of Noah microbus from Ukhia upazila, Sahabuddin, 20, 11th grade student of Ukhia Degree College. The rest are yet to be identified.

Chakaria Fire Service Station Officer (SO) GM Mohiuddin told Banglanews that a Shyamoli Paribahan bus fell into a ditch at Goyalmara area under Harbang union, leaving three persons killed on the spot.

The wounded were taken to Chittagong Medical College hospital.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Nasir Uddin of Chirigang Police Outpost told Banglanews that the relatives were informed and the bodies were sent to morgue for post-mortem examination.
