4 ‘robbers’ lynched in Chapainawabganj

Four suspected robbers were lynched on Rohonpur-Bholahat road in Gomastapur of Chapainawabganj Wednesday night.
Police superintendent of the district, Bashir Ahmed, confirmed the deaths.
Quoting locals, our correspondent reported a gang of robbers numbering four men were preparing to commit robbery at Makrampur bridge neighbourhood around 8:00pm.
Locals, on suspicion, thrashed them heavily leaving one Golam Rabani, 40, dead on the spot.
Two others succumbed to their injuries on the way to Gomastapur Upazila Health Complex.
Another died at the hospital while undergoing treatment.
