Planning Minister A H M Mustafa Kamal today said the size of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the next 2015-16 fiscal would be Taka 100,000 crore. “The mega project would be given Taka 20,000-25,000 crore in the ADP and those projects would be visible after the end of the next fiscal,” said the minister during a meeting with the Secretaries of 10 highest allocated ministries and 10 lowest ministries in terms of ADP implementation progress at NEC conference room. He said ADP allocation would be given in the coming fiscal after scrutinizing the implementation performance of the ministries and divisions
Kamal said they would appoint seven deputy project directors for the big projects which are implemented across the country. Asking the Secretaries to take necessary measures in strengthening the capacity of Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED), the Planning Minister said work is going on to increase the number of officers to 120 from 78 in the IMED. State Minister for Finance and Planning M A Mannan and Secretaries concerned were present in the meeting.
