Bangabandhu to live in people’s hearts : PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday said no one will be able to erase the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from the hearts of Bangalees, Agencies report.

“Bangabandhu isn’t amongst us. But as long as Bangladesh remains, not only Bangladesh but the entire world will recall forever his contributions. He (Bangabandhu) is immortal, eternal and everlasting and will remain forever in the hearts of Bangalees. No one will be able to erase his name,” she said.

The Awami League chief was addressing a seminar titled ‘Bangabandhu’s 7th March Speech: Sign of Change in State and Social Structure’ held at the Krishibid Institution, Bangladesh in the city.

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust member secretary Sheikh Hafizur Rahman gave the welcome address at the seminar while Professor of Sociology Department of Dhaka University Dr Md Moshiur Rahman delivered the keynote speech and Trust CEO Maksura Hossain gave the vote of thanks.

DU Sociology Department Professor Dr Zinat Huda and Chairman of Suchinta Foundation Mohammad A Arafat spoke at the seminar as discussants.
