Bangladesh qualifies for ICC Champions Trophy semifinal

Bangladesh will play into the semifinal of the ICC Champions Trophy as England beat Australia by 40 runs on D/L method on Saturday, Agencies report.

Australia needed to beat England on Saturday but they were restricted to 277 for 9 and England were cruising at 240 for 4 in 40.2 when rain stopped the play.

According to D/L method, England were ahead by 40 runs when the play was called off. England topped the group with 6 points while Bangladesh finished at 3 points.

Last year ICC World Cup finalists- Australia and New Zealand failed to qualify for the semifinals.
