Bangladeshi youth killed in Qatar accident

A Bangladeshi national was killed in a road accident as a private car rammed him in Al Khor city of northern Qatar on Monday, Agencies report.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Akram Hossain, 27, son of one Sheikh Sukani Bari Moktader Zaman, hailed from Maitbhanga union under Sandwip thana of Chittagong.

Akram Hossain had been working as an employee for four years at Bin Shuk Group in Qatar. Deceased’s elder brother Qatar expatriate Iqbal Hossain told Banglanews that Akram was hit by a car while wondering around at Al Khor city after having Iftar on Monday evening.

Later, with the help of Qatar police, his body was discovered at Al Khor Hamad Hospital, he added. Rabiul Islam, the first labor secretary of Bangladesh Embassy in Qatar, told Banglanews that the process of sending Akram’s body to Bangladesh is underway.

Moreover, compensation from the private car owner, who hit Akram, will also be realized, he added.
