Brihattar Chattagram Shiksha Unnoyon Songram Committee(BCSUSC) submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Sunday afternoon .
The memorandum was handed over to additional divisional commissioner (general) and newly promoted additional secretary to Ministry of Establishment of Government of The People’s Republic Of Bangladesh Shankar Ranjan Saha at his court building office in Chittagong.
The memorandum lauded prime minister Sheikh Hasina for her commendable role in different development activities and leadership and urged her to implement some more demands in education sector.
It demanded implementation of education policy, introduction of academic calendar, establishment of a technical university after the name of Bangabandhu, ridding educational institutions of corruption, setting up of agriculture college in greater Chittagong, establishing libraries enriched with books on father of the nation, giving education ministry supreme authority to control service of non-government teachers and workers, introducing autobiography of Bangabandhu in the syllabi of different educational institutions, ensuring accountability of officials at Chittagong Education Board, District education office, deputy director’s office for primary schools, increasing house rent and medical allowances for teachers and workers of non-government educational institutions , and promotion to the posts of prinicipal, vice principal, headmaster and assistant headmaster on the basis of index seniority.
Those present on the occasion include chairman of oriental language CU, and president of Brihattar Chattagram Shiksha Unnoyon Songram Committee(BCSUSC) Dr. Jino Boudi Bikshu, general secretary Asst. Prof. Samshad Sattar, adviser and secretary general of Chittagong Citizens Forum Md. Kamaluddin, vice president Prof. Milan Kanti Roy Chowdhury, Principal Dilip Kumar Chowdhury, Md. Kamal Hossain, D. O Lovely and Swamir Paul.
While receiving the memorandum, the high govt. official greeted the leaders of the organization as he assured his cooperation in this respect.
