Beyoncé and Cara Delevingne may be working on music together

We have duel cryptic Instagram posts as our evidence!

The world’s most famous musical artist and the world’s most famous model (O.K., both of those descriptors are subjective, but it’s hard to argue that these two aren’t at the top of their respective fields at the moment) may be joining forces, reports Vanity Fair. Over the weekend, Beyoncé and Cara Delevingne taunted and tantalized their Instagram follower bases with cryptic posts implying that maybe, possibly, who really knows but it definitely seems likely, the two were in the recording studio together.

Posted at the same time, Delevingne’s photo features a hand—fingers painted with a dark-purple polish (any clue might be relevant; this is basically True Detective right now)—draped atop a soundboard. Beyoncé posted what amounts to pretty much the same picture, but with her hand (pink polish) resting on the . . . very . . . same . . . soundboard. Beyoncé included an earbud emoji with her shot, in case there was any confusion about the music-making implications of the photo.

As best we can tell from the sleuthing that took up our entire weekend, Beyoncé and Delevingne have met at least once before, at a Topshop dinner in November 2014. While Delevingne has been focusing on acting as of late, booking a series of high-profile roles, she has also dabbled in music, singing with Pharrell in a Chanel ad, as well as collaborating with Will Heard on an acoustic track.

As for what a potential song by the pair would be called, we feel like “One of Us is a Model—The Other One Isn’t, But Definitely Could Be If She Wanted To” is a real possibility, with “It’s Easy Being Delevingne” and “A B C Production — Get It? Because Our Names Start With B and C” as additional potential candidates.
