A plane of Biman Bangladesh Airlines made an emergency landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday morning following a technical glitch, Agencies report. The Boeing 737 aircraft was scheduled to land in Chittagong, but made the emergency landing at the airport around 10.15am, said the airport sources.
A wheel of the biman also exploded during landing, added the sources. All the passengers and crews were removed from the plane safely, but all flights at the airport was halted for about two hours after the incident. Later, the operations resumed at the airport around 12.15am.
Earlier a Biman flight, carrying the Prime Minister, had to make an emergency landing at Ashgabat International Airport in Turkmenistan on her way to Budapest on November 27 following low oil pressure in the engine.
