Boob ops, slutty dresses and sex acts on bouncers: What wannabe WAGs will do to net football players

PERFUME hangs heavy in the air and lights flicker on to girls squeezed into short bodycon dresses and sky-scraper heels, The Sun reports.  Suddenly the women spot their prey — a professional footballer — and like circling tigers surround his table . . . Welcome to the world of the wannabe Wags.

Their shameless behaviour is not just reserved for dimly-lit clubs. This week we reported how glamour girls Katie Salmon and Jessica Hayes flashed their boobs in broad daylight at Cheltenham Festival after being invited to a £700-per-head VIP box by footballers Samir Carruthers and James Collins.

It might be shocking at the races but such attention-seeking antics are a nightly event at exclusive clubs around the country where wannabe Wags hope to net a player.  Former model Anouska Kay was once a regular on the footballing social scene.  Anouska, 37, from Bradford, explains: “There is a smell of desperation in the air among the girls and things can get very aggressive.

“If you were talking to a footballer, other girls pushed you out of the way.  “They’d put their phone numbers in the boys’ pockets and rub up against them. “It was bitchy and was very, very competitive — I often saw girl-on-girl scraps in the toilets. Some of the girls even gave the doormen oral sex so they could get into the club.

“The footballers were shameless too. I saw one top player and there was a girl trying to get his attention, signalling at him behind his girlfriend’s back. “Eventually he went over and this girl took him to the back room. They had sex in a room behind the bar. “Then he came back to where his girlfriend was and they were laughing and joking. She was none the wiser.”

At exclusive clubs in major footballing cities such as Manchester, London, Newcastle, Birmingham and Liverpool, word quickly gets around if a top player is in the room. Promoters often text attractive girls — usually surgically enhanced glamour models known on the club circuit — saying: “We’ve a Premier League footballer in tonight. Dress to impress.”

One London promoter told The Sun: “The clubs give the footballers the most prominent table. They ask if they want girls brought over and, of course, they do. Some clubs have separate VIP areas that offer the ultimate privacy. “The better-looking girls are filtered through into VIP. They tend to be the ones with the biggest boobs and sluttiest clothes.

“There are girls who go to the club just to meet these guys and be on their tables. They drink the free champagne in the hope of catching one of them. If a guy buys a girl a drink then they think they are in there. There’s a level of expectation. “Some footballers have a minder who works directly for them. One told me she would book tables and have to clean up their mess afterwards.”

Arsenal and Chelsea players including Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey, Diego Costa and Ramires have been spotted in Libertine in London. While Man United’s Luke Shaw and Michael Carrick have partied at Panacea in Manchester. Kingdom in Liverpool and Mechu in Birmingham are also frequented by top-flight footballers.

VIP tables can come with a hefty price tag of up to £1,500 and the flashiest guests can order bottles of Moet champagne which are carried across the dancefloor with sparklers shooting out of the top. Girls hoping to get into these clubs must look the part. Many transform themselves using hair extensions, fake tan, false lashes and extreme contouring. Some might get on the club’s guest list, but entry is not guaranteed.

Queuing to get into Club Liv in Manchester were friends Georgina Batten, 24, and Sarah Bainbridge, 28. Georgina said: “We like the footballer crowd. We like the guys who look after themselves, with a fit physique.” Asked if they were hoping to get on a table with a footballer, she replied: “Yeah, why not? We like to have a really good time, get dressed up, fake eyelashes, fake tan, fake nails. Yeah, it’s great . . . We love it. Why not?”

Former Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother star Luisa Zissman, 28, used to go on the circuit in Liverpool and Manchester with friends. She often saw the cynical exchanges between footballers and wannabe Wags. Luisa says: “The lengths these girls go to are just ridiculous. “They think it’s a meal ticket. There is this generation of girls who don’t have the confidence or desire to achieve for themselves.

“They want the Louis Vuitton handbags and fancy stuff without having to put much work in, apart from in the bedroom. It’s a competition about who can get noticed. It’s essentially a meat market for the guys. They can pick and choose what they want.  “These guys think they can buy a girl a couple of glasses of champagne and they will drop their knickers.

“Unfortunately, that’s how little self-worth some girls put on themselves. “They’ll be asked to join a table and because a guy has bought a £500 bottle of champagne and they’ve been drinking it, they think that somehow they are indebted sexually to him.” One girl who wants nothing more than to bag a footballer boyfriend is Alina Ahmad, 18, from Stockport.

She has already gone to shocking lengths to chase her dream. She spent £6,000 on cosmetic surgery and has taken a job in a restaurant because it is popular with players. The teenager admits: “I want to have the Wag life but first I need to find a footballer. “To improve my chances I have splashed out on cosmetic surgery and taken a job at a restaurant where players often eat.

“My parents paid £4,000 for a nose job for me in January because I felt it was too big and lumpy. “They also paid £2,000 for non-invasive liposuction, taking me from a size 14 to a size 10. I have lip fillers every three months too. My parents also help me to splash out £500 a month on clothes and shoes, so I can really look the part.

“I can’t imagine anything better than having a proper Wag lifestyle and I want it all.”  Looks are all important if you want to get noticed. Make-up artist Amy Jones, 28, a regular at Birmingham’s Mechu club, said: “I always spend about two hours getting ready when I’m coming here — it’s really classy.

“I heard Joe Hart was in here recently, and he got quite a lot of attention. “When the big teams visit more girls come in here, hoping for a chance to meet them. “When the big-name celebs are in they get loads of drinks. Some of them buy the bar out of champagne. “I’ve never gone over myself, but a few of my friends have tried and said it gets quite bitchy.”

Once inside the clubs, girls hang around the VIP tables in the hope of being invited back to a private party or even a player’s hotel room. The footballers never do their own dirty work. They send a friend to pick out the most glamorous girls. Former staff at The Circle Club in Manchester recalled how disgraced footballer Adam Johnson would be surrounded by up to 20 women at once when he played for Manchester City and England.

The convicted paedophile reportedly said to a doorman that he wanted a people carrier to take them all to a nearby hotel, and joked: “I’ll need about 30 condoms to s*** all this lot’.” Unfortunately, those girls looking for lasting romance and a luxurious Wag lifestyle are often disappointed.

The most they usually get is one drunken night with a player before they are tossed aside for the next wannabe.
