A Bangladesh national was gunned down by members of Indian Security Force (BSF) in Behular Char area of Rowmari border point in Roumari upazila on Sunday night, UNB reports. The deceased was identified as Monser Ali, 40, son of Forman Ali, a resident of Bamoner Char area of the upazila and a cattle trader.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sources said a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders were trying to enter the Indian territory through the border point of 1061 no pillar in order to bring cattle around 9:30pm.
Sensing their attempt, a patrol team of BSF opened fired at the Bangladeshi cattle traders, leaving Monser bullet injuries. Later, the injured was rushed to the upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead, said upazila health officer Doctor Mahfuza Sarker,.
