Ruling Bangladesh Awami League general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday hinted at a possible reshuffle in the cabinet, Agencies report.
The ruling party spokesperson dropped the hint in response to a volley of questions from reporters after a meeting of the minister with an Australian delegation at Bangladesh Secretariat.
“It’s the discretion of the prime minister whether there will be any change in the cabinet. However, a reshuffle may be made in the cabinet. But I cannot say when it will happen,” said Quader.
When his attention was drawn to a hearsay that a new post of deputy prime minister could be created, the minister said, “It is a mere rumour.”
He claimed that he knew nothing about creation of such post.
