CCC Polls: Latif calls for united campaign to elect Nasir as wished by PM

M.A Latif MP of Ctg-11 constituency has urged all to work unitedly in a bid to elect AZM Nasiruddin as Chittagong Corporation Mayor. “ AZM Nasir is nominee of prime minister. We have to work in a body forgetting all the differences for his victory. So we have to pay for the trust the prime minister Sheikh Hasina has in us through win of AZM Nasir in the coming CCC polls” said the lawmaker while speaking at a views exchanging meeting with local Thana and Ward AL leaders at CCCI auditorium in the city yesterday.
“ Only one candidate from each Ward should vie as party candidate” he added.
Mayoral candidate AZM Nasir who was the chief guest at the meeting thanked Latif for organizing such a programme in his constituency out of 4 and the cooperation he has extended in securing his nomination.
“ I humbly thank the prime minister for her personal survey in nominating me for mayoral position” he said. “ The BNP backed Manzur Alam failed to fulfil the promises he mentioned in the manifesto and if he is reelected the same condition will prevail” Nasir added as he focused on the development works in the port city during the tenure of AL backed mayor.
He also urged all party leaders and activists to work sincerely with respect to the trust of the prime minister.
