Chittagong University (CU) on Monday received two new buses for its teachers and students. Chairman of Nitol-Niloy Group (NNG) Abdul Matlub Ahmed and Vice Chairman of Al Arafah Islami Bank Limited (AIBL) Abdus Salam today formally handed over the buses to the CU authority.
CU authority also accorded a reception to the officials of the two corporate organizations at the conference room of CU Vice-Chancellor (VC). VC Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury presided over the function while NNG chairman Abdul Matlub Ahmed, also president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI), and vice chairman of AIBL Abdus Salam addressed the function as the guests of honour.
Prof Iftekhar in his speech thanked the donors for their assistance to the CU teachers and students through their corporate social responsibility. CU deputy registrar (Information) Farhad Hossain Khan conducted the function while CU acting registrar Prof Dr Kamrul Huda and General Secretary of CU Teachers’ Association (CUTA) Prof Dr Kazi SM Khosrul Alam Quddusi addressed it, among others, BSS reports.
