IT looks like something from a horror film – but an astonished couple found this hungry spider tucking into a deadly snake in their SHED, The Sun reports. Terrifying photos show the baby brown snake trapped in the web – as the creepy crawly takes a bite out of it. Jeff Simons said his wife, Judy, first came across the skin-crawling scene about three weeks ago in the shed at their property in Elmore, about 100 miles north of Melbourne, Australia.
But it’s hard to think of the snake as a victim – as the brown snake, which is native to Australia, is one of the most lethal snakes in the world, with venom that contains toxins that cause paralysis or muscle weakness. And this isn’t the first time a spider has taken on a snake.
Last month, another brown snake was photographed in the web of a daddy long-legs spider. Farmer and photographer Patrick Lees found the dead snake strung up on his property near West Wyalong, north west of Canberra.
Around the same time, Jennifer Fox and her husband, from Western Australia, posted horrifying footage of snakes thrashing around on the floor of a shed, tangled in the webs of lethal spiders.
