There are only a few things we love more than a good Deepika Padukone fashion moment. Whether she’s being relatable and wearing sweatpants, or decked in head-to-toe designer duds, she consistently ups her style game. The actor’s casual style (as in when she’s not strolling a red carpet or something) is both timeless and affordable,Hindustan Times reports.
And most recently, Deepika slayed airport chic, yet again. Seriously, how does Deepika get off a plane and still look flawless? It’s a question we’ve been asking ourselves since we laid eyes on her latest travel look.
Spotted at the Mumbai airport, Deepika definitely didn’t disappoint with her perfect travel look: While she opted for designer shoes and hang bag — specifically a brown Saint Laurent tote ($4,890 or Rs 3,30,832) and matching Chloe booties ($1,245 or Rs 84,236) — she went the more affordable route with her ivory Masaba Gupta shirt. She donned House of Masaba’s knee-length Ivory Cape Shirt (Rs 9,999). And with that, she’s proven that an under-Rs 10,000 wear-everywhere piece from a popular fashion brand could be one of the most chic buys you’ll make this season.
Keep Deepika’s airport style in mind the next time you want to impress whoever you’re visiting, or prove to your parents that you’re a real adult, who travels in nice, neat outfits. Below are some of Deepika Padukone’s on-point airport looks that will have you swooning with closet-envy:
In May, Deepika wore a not-so-basic oversized gingham shirt dress from Maison Margiela. Her black leather ankle boots, matching leggings and a black tote bag accented her eclectic, playful ’70s-inspired sky blue cotton shirt dress, which came with a checked-trim. The avant-garde, deconstructed style featured an off-the-moment boxy silhouette with dropped shoulder seams and a curved fluid hem. The dress is selling at £634 (57,850). The ‘Made in Italy’ bomber jacket animated with scribble print is from Burberry’s menswear line and sells for € 1126 (Rs 91,498). Deepika of course made her joggers chic, pairing them with a matching plaid jacket (costing $165 or Rs 10,720) from the label. She accented her head-to-toe printed set with black-and-white accessories: White camisole, white Nike sneakers, black leather bag from Celine and retro Fendi sunglasses. Especially because of her cool shoe choice — white sneakers from Nike — that kept the polished look from being too out-there. The white shade gave her wide-legged Isabel Marant jeans a little extra sophistication. She paired it with a grey Topshop tee and coloured sunnies. For details, click here.
