WT24 Desk

Train communications of Chittagong with Dhaka were restored on Thursday morning after four hours of disruption following derailment of a train in Akhaura upazila early Thursday, agencies report.  Mizanur Rahman, in-charge of Akhaura Railway Station said three bogies of the Dhaka-bound mail train from Chittagong veered off the tracks around 3:40 am when it reached Akhaura, halting train communications on the route. However, no causality was reported. The rail link was restored around 8am when a salvage train removed the bogies from the tracks.
