Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) today realized Taka 1.18 lakh as fines from 19 business establishments on charges of different offences, BSS reports.
Officials of DNCRP in Dhaka, Kushtia, Panchagarh, Barguna and Bogra inspected different markets and fined the business establishments, a press release said here.
DNCRP Dhaka office fined Vaisakhi Biriyani Ghar Taka 10,000 and Bortha Bath Resthora Taka 20,000 at Maghbazar area in the city for different offences including selling products without mentioning the maximum retail price (MRP). DNCRP also realized Taka 10,000 for various offences in Ramna area in the city.
In separate drives, DNCRP fined two business entities Taka 25000 in Kushtia and four business establishments Taka 9,000 at Panchagar, three business houses Taka 3,800 at Barguna and one business establishment Taka 10,000 at Bogra for different offences including selling products without mentioning MRP and preparing products in unhygienic environment.
DNCRP also settled six complaints and fined Taka 40,000 to different business establishments.
