The two bourses of the country—Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed significant fall in share prices indices on Monday, the second trading session of the week, Agencies report. DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 16.67 points only to stand at 4692.94 at the close of day’s trading.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) went down by 7.20 points to reach 1116.07. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 10.15 points to reach 1754.62. Trade deals stood at 89,691 with volume of transactions at Tk 4079.19 million.
Of the issues traded, 93 advanced, 173 declined and 56 remained unchanged. DOREENPWR topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 183.03 million having changed hands. The other turnover leaders were, BSRMLTD, NBL, SQUREPHARMA, BBS, NHFIL , BDCOM, LAFSURCEML , UTTARAFIN and TITUSGAS.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8757.50 by gaining over 59.67 points. Out of the issues traded, 74 gained, 143 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
