A BEACH on Formentera has been named as the Europe’s best by Trip Advisor, according to The Sun. Ses Illetes, which boasts fine white sands and clear turquoise water, is on the smallest of the Belearic Islands and was voted as top beauty spot by users of the travel site.
The stretch of sand, three miles from the port of La Savina, where ferries take holidaymakers to and from Ibiza, has shallow water which makes it popular with families. The popular tourist trap – which gets crowded in high season – beat beaches in Greece, Portugal and Turkey to the top of the poll.
