THE UK is expecting to see all four seasons of weather this weekend with heavy snow, torrential rain, blustery winds and warm sunshine all forecast, according to The Sun. Worryingly, the north-west of England and Wales could see up to a month’s worth of rain fall in 36 hours.
Meanwhile, residents in southern England are set for a more temperate weekend with the mercury rising as high as 14C in some places. The country woke up to chilly weather for most of this week with morning temperatures as low as -4C in some areas.
Charlie Powell, from the Met Office, said: “During the weekend the UK will be split by a weather front with a north-south divide, although conditions will be similar across Saturday and Sunday.” He added: “Wales and the Midlands and the south-east should be mild, with temperatures peaking in London at 14C.”
However, the good weather is likely to be tempered by blustery winds sweeping across the region.
