Germany equally represents Estonia in Schengen visa matters for individuals residing in Bangladesh. Visas for long-term stays in Hungary of more than 90 days within every given period of 180 days must still be applied for at the Hungarian Embassy in New Delhi, India, it said.
German Embassy to handle Schengen visa applications for Hungary visit
German Embassy in Dhaka on Tuesday said individuals legally residing in Bangladesh will be able to apply for a short-term Schengen visa for travels to Hungary as the primary destination at the German Embassy here, agencies report. The German Embassy, as of November 1, will thus handle visa applications for individuals residing in Bangladesh who mainly wish to visit Hungary in the Schengen area for purposes such as tourism, visiting family and friends, business or attending conferences.Earlier, the German and the Hungarian governments mutually decided to strengthen their cooperation in visa matters in accordance with the Schengen Agreement. Information on visa applications at the German Embassy is available online via www.dhaka.diplo.de/visa, said a German Embassy press release on Tuesday. Stays with such a visa cannot exceed 90 days within every given period of 180 days. The German Embassy is authorized by the Hungarian Government to grant and deny visas, to reject applications and to answer to appeals as well as lawsuits in this connection,” the press release reads.
