“Hajj flights will start from August 16, this year,” Anwar Hossain, information officer of the religious affairs ministry, told BSS today. He also said, “This year Bangladesh Biman and Saudia will carry all the passenger.” A total of 1 lakh 1 thousand and 758 persons were expected to perform Hajj this year. Of them, three thousand would be under government management and the rest under private management. Anwar also said that subject to the sighting of the moon the Holy Hajj would be held on September 22, 2015.
Meanwhile, the ministry has asked all those who want to perform Hajj this year to submit all papers by tomorrow (July 28) for scrutiny. The government has also set up a 35-member administrative team, a medical team, IT team and a government delegation to oversee the entire process, the official said.
