THIS is the horrific moment an acrobatic performer’s stunt at Legoland Windsor goes horribly wrong, The Sun reports. The man was seen yesterday flying high during a performance of the Pirates of Skeleton Bay at the popular Berkshire theme park.
He is seen several meters into the hair before falling and landing onto a hard surface. It appears that he was struck by the pole, which he was attempting to grab onto during the performance.
Other members of staff then rush to his aid as he lies on the floor, with workers dressed as pirates using their props and flags to cover his body. The Pirates of Skeleton Bay performance is a “pirate-themed live action show featuring acrobatics and swashbuckling swordplay”, according to the park.
A Legoland spokeswoman told The Sun Online: “An incident involving one of the performers in our Pirate Stunt Show occurred at the Legoland Windsor Resort yesterday. “Our first responders attended immediately and the performer was taken to hospital.
“We are in touch with his family and are monitoring his progress. The show remains closed until further notice whilst an investigation takes place.” Horrified witnesses took the social media to wish the man a speedy recovery.
Paul Kelly tweeted: “We just witnessed an actor at Legoland Windsor having an accident during an acrobatic stunt. Hope he’s ok.” While Marianne Paris posted: “Hope he makes a full recovery, was awful to see thoughts with him and everyone else affected.”
One concerned social media user tweeted: “Thinking of the Legoland pirate following a horrific accident. Get well soon buddy!” Neil Perkins wrote: “#legoland any news on the pirate hope he is ok but TBH never looked good. I thought the first aid should of acted quicker.”
