WHEN a mum put her two premature twins together after birth, they both immediately snuggled into one another. Despite the doctors’ initial concerns, the pair have made an incredible recovery. In June 2010, Lily and Summer Cobbing were born three months early in a hospital in Adelaide, Australia.
The adoring new mum’s maternal instinct told her to put her two baby girls side by side, as they were in the womb. Michelle told Daily Mail Australia: “Lily snuggled into Summer and Summer smuggled into Lily.” After eight months of close monitoring and health checks, the delighted parents were told that they could take their babies home from hospital.
Even though Lily struggled with heart and lung problems until she was two-years-old, the pair are now five-years-old and doing well. Mum Michelle explained: “Summer is dramatic and Lily is very laid back and goes with the flow. “They love all the little girlie things and Lily loves Star Wars and Chewbacca.
“We’re just so proud of them.”
