Indian army chief in Dhaka

Indian Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag on Monday arrived in Dhaka on a two-day visit to Bangladesh to review a passing out parade at the Bangladesh Military Academy in Chittagong.
Dalbir, along with a small delegation, arrived at BAF Base Bangabandhu in Kurmitola at about 5:00pm on a special flight, responding to an invitation from his Bangladeshi counterpart General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan, said the Inter Service Public Relations officials.
He will review the passing out parade of BMA 72nd long course and 43rd special course at the prestigious military academy in Bhatiari, as chief guest.
‘General Dalbir Singh’s visit is part of high level exchanges between the Armed Forces of India and Bangladesh which are aimed at strengthening friendship and co-operation between them,’ the Indian High Commission in Dhaka earlier said .
