ISIS thugs have massacred 14 Real Madrid fans in a savage gun attack on a supporters’ club. At least 20 people were injured in the attack in Samarra, 77 miles north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. Horrific images from the scene show the club’s floor covered in blood after three AK47-wielding gunmen stormed a room where up to 50 Real fans had gathered to drink coffee and watch old recordings of the club’s matches.
“They just carry out attacks like this. This is a terrible tragedy”. The assailants fled and hours later one of them set off his explosive vest at a nearby vegetable market after police and Shi’ite militia members cornered him in a disused building and exchanged gunfire, security sources said.
Four were killed and two critically wounded in that attack, medical sources added. A Reuters witness saw the scorched body of a suspected assailant hanging upside down from a post outside the cafe on Friday morning. Residents said they had seized the man from a nearby house where he had fled following the attack.
They said they had burned him alive after he confessed. An intelligence official confirmed this account.
