Lack of sleep may lead to lower testosterone levels causing sexual dysfunctions

Sexual dysfunctions are a plaguing a large number of men and along with ageing many lifestyle changes are also to be blamed. Among other things stress and fatigue are responsible for conditions like erectile dysfunction, according to The Deccan Chronicle.

While a lot of people aren’t paying enough attention to adequate sleep, this can have serious consequences for men. Poor sleep has been found to cause lower testosterone levels which are crucial for fertility, sexual function and mental health.

Men with fertility issues can benefit from a simple change in their lifestyle that will improve testosterone levels. Sleep was found to be more influential then factors such as age and alcohol when it came to testosterone levels.

It’s difficult to make people sleep with some working at night, others having young children and many facing sleep apnea.
