AN Alaska Airlines flight was diverted to Seattle after a male passenger tried to kiss a 16-year-old girl sleeping next to him, The Sun reports. After the incident was reported to the pilot, the passengers were separated and the plane was diverted to Seattle-Tacoma Airport.
The man, 23, whose name has not been released by officials, was arrested for fourth-degree assault once the plane had landed. The girl remained on board and continued her journey to Anchorage.
The incident comes amid several disrupted Alaska Airlines flights due to passenger behaviour. In March, passengers heading to Portland received $100 airline vouchers when a flight was diverted to due a rowdy, drunken passenger.
Last month, a female Alaska Airlines passenger said she was molested by another woman while flying from Las Vegas to Portland.
