Police finally recovered the body of a three-year-old boy from a house in Banglamotor area in the capital on Wednesday, Agencies report..
The deceased was identified as Safayet, son of Nuruzzaman Kajol.
Law enforcers also detained Kajol, an alleged drug addict and taken to Shahbagh Police Station and rescued another son Surayet, 5, from the house which remained cordoned off by police, Rab.
Being informed from locals, police from Shahbagh Police Station, Ramna Zone rushed to the spot in the morning. But they failed to entry the house as Kajol equipped with sharp weapons threatened them.
Rab-2 Deputy Inspector (SI) Shahidul Islam told this correspondent that Kajol questioned the law enforcers: “Who did call you? I don’t need anyone. Leave the place. I’ll bury my son after 1 pm.”
DMP Ramna Zone Assistant Commissioner Ehsanul Ferdous said deceased’s father claimed that Safayet died of electrocution. After the completion of postmortem, it will clear whether it was a murder or natural death.
