NSU Earth Club to Visit the Harmful Effects of Oil Spill in Sunderbans

Environmental organization of North South University (NSU) “Earth Club” is going to visit the environmental degradation and harmful effects of oil spill in the Sunderbans.
An 8-member delegation of the Earth Club will visit the Sunderbans with the students of Environmental Science and Management Department of the University.
According to the Earth Club on the night of 5 January, soon a team of the club visits the oil tanker sinking Shyala River to observe the environmental disasters in Sunderbans. They will take various techniques to get rid of the harmful effects of the oil spill.
The delegation team will also observe what kind of damages have been occurred there by the oil spill in the world’s biggest mangrove forest Sunderbans.
Publication Secretary of the Earth Club, Tamanna Ahmed said, the Earth Club operates various programs to raise awareness of environmental damages. Our organization is interested to protect the Sunderbans from natural disasters.
Associate Professor of Department of Environmental Science and Management of the University and the club adviser, Dr. Md. Zakaria will also to go with the delegation team.
