Jatiya Oikyafront has sat in its second round of discussion with Awami League-led ruling alliance over the upcoming general elections, Agencies report.
An 11-men delegation of the opposition alliance Oikyafront is in Gono Bhaban now led by Dr Kamal Hossain. The dialogue began around 11:00am.
Others in the delegation are ASM Abdur Rab, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Moudud Ahmed, Mostafa Mahsin Mantu, Subrata Chowdhury, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, SM Akram, Abdul Malek Ratan and Sultan Mohammad Mansur Ahmed.
On the other hand, Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leading a 12-member delegation of the 14-party ruling alliance.
Her delegation includes Obaidul Quader, Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Mohammad Nasim, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haq Inu, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Advocate Anisul Huq, Dr Dipu Moni, Advocate SM Rezaul Karim and Abdus Sobhan Golap.
Meanwhile, BNP Standing Committee member Moudud Ahmed said they are optimistic about the talks.
