France’s capital was the target of six organised terror attacks last night, according to Metro News. While the toll sits at 127 confirmed deaths, one survivor has told how his smartphone saved his life. The man, known as Sylvestre, was at France’s national Stadium during the horrifying assaults, thought to have been conducted by Isis.

Sylvestre believes his head would have ‘exploded’ had his mobile not took the impact of a bullet. He was shot in the foot and the ribcage, but the bullet aiming for his head hit his phone. The Samsung device had a smashed screen and huge dent in one side.

Speaking to iTele, he explained: ‘This is the cell phone that took the hit, it’s what saved me. ‘Otherwise my head would have been blown to bits.’ He added: ‘I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.’
