Past President of ICMAB dies at 81

Mr. Habibur Rahman FCMA, Past President of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) breathed his last at his residence on Saturday August27, 2016 at 2.00 P.M.. at Dhanmondi, Dhaka (Inna…………. Rajeun). ). He was 81, says a press release.
Mr. Rahman served as Finance Director of Pfizer Laboratories (Bangladesh) Limited. from 1973-1994.He was in the Council of ICMAB from 1980-1998 and was President of ICMAB for Year 1991 and 1997. He served as the President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) for the year 1991.
Mr. Rahman also took keen interest in sports and involved in playing tennis. He was Vice-President of the National Football team in 1957 and also represented National Team in 1958. He also served as Manager of Bangladesh Youth football Team in 1981.
At the sudden demise of Mr Habibur Rahman the President, Council Members, Members, Students, Officers & Staff of Institute was deeply shocked and the country has lost a competent professional accountant which is irreparable.
Namaj-e-Janaja of Mr. Rahmanwas held at the ICMAB premises at 1.45 p.m. Among others ICMAB President, Past Presidents, Council Members, Members, Students, Officers & Staff took part at his Namaj-e-Janaja and prayed for the eternal peace the departed soul.
