Wife of Captain Abid Sultan, the pilot who died in the US-Bangla Airlines pane crash at Nepal airport, is put on life support after performing second surgery at National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Dhaka, Agencies report.
Afsana Khanam underwent second surgery that started around 10:00am and lasted till 1:00pm Monday, said hospital reception official Taposhi.
Taposhi said she underwent first surgery on Sunday evening after suffering a stroke at her Uttara residence at afternoon. On Monday, she suffered another stroke and so the second surgery was performed on her.
On March 12, Pilot Abid Sultan and all four cabin crew members of the ill-fated US-Bangla flight died in the crash at Tribhuvan International Airport. The crash claimed the lives of 51 people, including 26 Bangladeshis.
