Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived here on early Wednesday, after wrapping-up her 2-day official visit in Austria, Agencies report.
The flight carrying the Prime minister landed at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport at around 7:20 am. Earlier, at around 7 pm (Local time) Tuesday, Sheikh Hasina left Vienna International Airport in a flight of Bangladesh Airlines BG-1012, for Dhaka.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Austria and Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Vienna Abu Zafar saw her off at the airport.
Earlier, on Monday (May 29), Sheikh Hasina reached Vienna to attend the conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The three-day conference began on Tuesday (May 30) on the occasion of 60 years anniversary of the international organization.
On Tuesday, Sheikh Hasina held a meeting with Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Kern at Federal Chancellery from 2:00 pm local time.
After the meeting, the two leaders held bilateral talks. Foreign affairs minister Abul Hasan Mahmood Ali, ICT minister Yafes Osman, Prime Minister’s principal secretary Kamal Abdun Naser CHowdhury, foreign affairs secretary Shahidul Haque ans others will also attended the meeting.
Bangladesh and Vienna reached agreement for further strengthening the bilateral ties and working in trade and investment, communication, livestock and agriculture sectors, said Sheikh Hasina after the meeting.
However, both the countries gave consent to enhance cooperation, with a vow to reach the goal of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), she added.
However, a commemorative pact on foreign office consultation was signed between Bangladesh and Vienna.
