Renowned film director Chashi Nazrul passes away

Renowned film director and producer Chashi Nazrul Islam died of cancer at LabAid Hospital in the early hours of today, reports agency. He was 76.
He left behind his wife, two daughters, relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death, Film Director Association General Secretary Guljar Hossain told BSS this morning.
He got Ekushey Padak and National Film Award for his remarkable contribution to the film industry of the country.
He directed 35 films including Ora Egaro Jon, Sangram, Megher Por Megh, Debdas, Padma Meghna Jamuna, Hasan Raja and Dhrubotara.
The first Namaj-e-Janaza of Chashi Nazrul will be held on Monday at 10 am at Film Development Corporation (FDC) in the city.
After janaza the body will be kept at Central Shaheed Minar from at 11 am on Monday.
He will be buried at his village home Somejpur under Srinagar in Munshiganj district on Monday afternoon.
