RMG workers protest for due salaries

Workers of a readymade garment factory in Savar demonstrated on Thursday morning in front of their factory demanding due salaries, News Agencies report.

The workers said they are not getting salaries for the last three months. Several hundreds workers of Abbas Apparel gathered at their factories from the morning and demonstrated.

Workers said that about 600 workers are not getting salary for the last three months. Authorities have told them that they would be given due payment by Thursday.

However, no officials did come to the factory on the day and workers found the main gate locked in the morning, which made them angry.

Law enforcement members were seen deployed in front of the factory.
