Sari entangled with rope kills woman in Jessore

A housewife was killed as her sari got tangled up with a rope at a rice mill in Dosatina village of Jhikargachha upazila of Jessore district on Tuesday morning, UNB reports.

The deceased was identified as Mamtaz Begum, 35, wife of Ramzan Ali, a resident of the village.

Deceased’s husband Ramzan said Mamtaz’s sari got entangled with a rope at the rice mill at the village around 6:30am when he went there for crushing rice. She received severe injuries.

Later she was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where she succumbed to her wounds.
