The education boards on Monday evening published the second merit list for the enrollment at colleges on higher secondary courses. The inter-education board coordination subcommittee and Dhaka Education Board chairman, Abu Bakar Siddique, said that a total of 17, 647 students have been selected in second merit list based on the availability of seats in the colleges.
The students will be allowed to get enrolled on July 7-8. A total of 6,926 students, who had applied for migration, made the second merit list, he added. Students alleged that they had been suffering a lot in getting enrolled in higher secondary courses at colleges across the country following online admission system introduced this year. Hundreds of students aspiring to get enrolled in class XI across the country were bearing the brunt of mistakes made by the education boards.
A total of 9.32 lakh students, out of 11.57 lakh of the first list, have already completed their admission process, Dhaka Education Board chairman said.
