Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that a DDCA official had sought sexual favor from a woman for her son’s selection in the state cricket team. In an exclusive interview to NDTV, Kejriwal alleged that an official in DDCA had asked a woman to “come at night” if she wanted her son to be selected for a Delhi team.
Kejriwal, however, refused to reveal the name of the official. The chief minister said that a senior journalist’s wife was asked by an official to visit him at night at his home about a month ago.
“His (the senior journalist’s) son plays cricket. He told me that his son was selected, he got a call that his son was selected. In the evening when the list came, his name was not there. Can you believe that the next day, the journalist’s wife got an SMS that you come to my (official’s) place at night, your son’s selection will be done,” said Kejriwal, who has also accused Arun Jaitley of indulging in massive corruption during his tenure as DDCA chief.
Kejriwal was recently sued by Jaitley for public defamation.
The chief minister also said that he did not regret calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi “a coward and a psychopath”. “I don’t regret anything. I accept I use bad language; I speak from the heart,” he said. Kejriwal had made the remarks on Twitter after the Central Bureau of Investigation raided the Delhi Secretariat earlier this month, The Indian Express reports.
