Stock market closed flat in red on Tuesday, with all the indices at the country’s twine bourses finishing marginally lower, agencies report. The key share price indices at the country’s twin bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — dropped for consecutive two days on Tuesday.
The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were Saif Powertec, Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Ifad Autos, Summit Power and Beximco Pharma. Top five gainers at the DSE were Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Exim Bank 1st Mutual Fund, Standard Ceramic, Delta Brac Housing Finance and Emerald Oil Industries.The key index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), CASPI dropped 39.06 points to reach 13977.80 at close on Tuesday. Of the 239 issues traded, 66 advanced, 152 suffered loss and 21 remained unchanged. The value of the traded issues at the port city bourse was Tk 26.26 crore on the day.
