The prices of most of the shares at both bourses witnessed negative trends from the early hours of trading on Monday, maintaining the previous day’s negative trend,UNB reports.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 23.39 to stand 4643.804 at 12:18pm. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, also shed over 7.687 points or 0.43 percent to settle at 1747.48.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 4.20 points or 0.37 per cent to close at 1116.82. Trade deals stood at 65110 with volume of transactions at Tk 3060.00 million.
Of the issues traded, 63 advanced, 188 declined and 56 remained unchanged. BBS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 166.21 million having changed hands.
On the other hand, the port city bourse, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), also saw negative trend from the early hours of trading with its Selective Category Index, CSCX, 8710.09 at 12:15pm.
