In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Sri Lanka’s independence, the seven-match Nidahas Trophy will kick off at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday. Bangladesh and India are the two other parties of the day-night T20I tournament, which will open with the match between host Sri Lanka and India at 8:00pm (Bangladesh time). The Tigers will start their campaign under the guidance of interim head coach Courtney Walsh for the first time, taking on the host side Thursday at the same time and venue. Eying to a spot in the final, Bangladesh team reached Sri Lanka on Sunday to participate in the tournament where Mahmudullah Riyad will captain the Tigers as their regular captain all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was ruled out from the squad due to a finger injury. Tri-nation T20I tourney kicks off Tuesday

In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Sri Lanka’s independence, the seven-match Nidahas Trophy will kick off at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday, Agencies report.

Bangladesh and India are the two other parties of the day-night T20I tournament, which will open with the match between host Sri Lanka and India at 8:00pm (Bangladesh time).
The Tigers will start their campaign under the guidance of interim head coach Courtney Walsh for the first time, taking on the host side Thursday at the same time and venue.
Eying to a spot in the final, Bangladesh team reached Sri Lanka on Sunday to participate in the tournament where Mahmudullah Riyad will captain the Tigers as their regular captain all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was ruled out from the squad due to a finger injury.
