3 ‘robbers’ lynched in Feni

Three suspected robbers were killed in a lynch-mob attack at Uttar Alipur village in Daganbhuiyan upazila early Saturday, Agencies report.

Two of the deceased were identified as Monir Hossain, 28, son of Monowar Hossain and Sohag, 30, son of Jasim Uddin, hailing from Char Fasson in Bhola district.

Saleh Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Dagonbhuiyan Police Station, said that locals trapped the robbers when they attempted to rob at the village around 3:30am.

Later, the angry mob gave them a good thrashing, leaving one dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured died at Feni Sadar Hospital, he said.
