9 DNCC councilors show-caused

They were absent at more than 3 board meetings

Nine councilors of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) have been show-caused for their absence at more than three board meetings, Agencies report.

DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam said this on Wednesday (Oct 23) noon.

He said that notice had been given to the nine DNCC councilors for explaining the causes of their absence in more than three board meetings. 

If they do not give a satisfactory reply, we will send a letter to the ministry, the mayor added.

The ministry will expel them in accordance with the law. If anyone is guilty of this, action will be taken in the legal process
